Based on familiarity and mastery of the compositive module of CADCEUS and its second development tools )a 3D parametric graphics library of standard mould bases and its frequently used components & standard parts of injection mould is built on the platform of new generation integrated CAD/CAM software CADCEUS ,using the method of integrating programming into drafting. The author also explore the method of building 2D parametric graphics library and the 3D mould design on CADCEUS systematically .A user-friendly visual operation interface customized for mould design is added to the intrinsic interface The transition from moulded part dimension to mould dimension is a laborious and complicated task to designer because different dimension types have different criteria and formulae . It is one of the important research contents to realize the automatic transition of dimensions using the computer in order to lighten the labor intention of designer The paper provide a program frame of dimension computing module and some advise is also put forward at the same time The work of this paper lay a definite foundation for the further integration of 3D design of injection mould and its CAD/CAM system and can also used as a valuable reference for the second development of design and manufacturing of injection mould on general CAD/CAM system.
