Data Warehouse And Data Mining Technology Theory And Applications

This subject roots in the science fund project of GanSu province, the aim of the subject mainly studies the architecture of the Data Warehouse (DYI) systematically, it includes the design and construction methods of the DW based on the DSS (Decision Support System), the technology of the OLAP (On Line Analysis Processing), data mining and Web mining, and the studies of correlative tools and applications etc. In domestic the study of the DSS began at the early years of the 1980抯. Because of the lag of the traditional technology of 055 made the DSS not be broadly application. In this situation the OW technology emerges as the times require. In the ninety years the DW technology became the hotspots after Internet technology in the foreign countries. Although in various of science conference the study and development subject of DW has been discussed and there are some application case about DIV outsides, in domestic there are also many experts and IT manager who have no clear realization about DW. DW is only a kind of blue print that solves the problem, it is not a existing products that can be bought. The DW stores the data and manages the resource by the means of traditional DB technology, it is an integrated technology of many subjects and applications. The paper first made the elaborate set forth about the common methods of the conception, architecture, development, design and application of the DIV. Further the two kinds of analysis tools OLAP and DM (Data Mining) technology applied to DIV system have been studied. Then the emphases centralizes on the classification and realization methods about the data mining, and made the recount about the application of the DM technology on the various fields. Finally I made the emphases study on the Web mining technology and tools. During the study of the subject, via reading many foreign bookmaking and papers I have a quite all-round understanding about the theory, technology~and application of this field. But whether DIV or DM technology, they are all a kind of study based on the application, there are many knowledge and experience that need to be found and sum up from the practice. So the work I have done is far from enough. I hope that in the future all these studies based on the theory can be applied to the practice. I believe the combination of the theory and practice is the emphases of the future's work. Also I hope we can do some achievements on this field.
