The Research And Design Of Disciplinary Construction Decision Support System Based On Data Warehouse

At present, the society is developing rapidly, networking has become global and information process is changing our lives. These changes have also brought the change of industry's operation and have a profound influence. With the increasing competition and factors that can not be forecasted, the industry must rely on advanced computer and information technology to improve their operational efficiency and effectiveness, which can help get advantage in the fierce competition.In the process of various industries'operation, how to make accurate judgments on the market, to make rapid and overall decision is the key to business success. Traditional decision-making often relies on personal experience, which has a certain degree of blindness. With the development of computer technology and scientific management, the decision support system arrived. From the last century 70', the DSS is constantly evolving and developing. With the development of data warehouse and related technologies, the DSS based on the data warehouse is proposed, which provides data support for the hidden information. Meanwhile, the current DSS is mainly used in various enterprises, and a number of successful cases have occurred. But in the industry of education, the research and application has just started, so make research of DSS and its model on this domain has scientific significance and practical value.This thesis will set college disciplinary constraction as background, propose the solutions plans for the DSS based on the data warehouse. In the DSS, we will use multidimensional OLAP technology for data display and analysis, and use data mining technology to explore some hidden information in the system of college disciplinary constraction. Then we will get some hidden rules, which can help college's decision-makers to provide some valuable advices.This thesis has made some detail and necessary research on the key technogies on the DSS based on the data warehouse, which set the college disciplinary constraction as background. And the main contents of research are following:(1) Make analysis of the key technologies of DSS, and propose the overall framework of disciplinary construction DSS. I have also made analysis of the data warehouse architecture and designed the development process. Then I make some research on the function and the way of achievement, at last I describe the function and implementation of data mining.(2) I set the information system of original disciplinal construction and its data as background. After making some analysis on the subjects, I implete the construction of data warehouse and build the cube on the platform of SQL Server 2000. And I make some analysis on the historical data through the technology of OLAP. At last I can get some inherent information through the technology of DM. (3)I make some analysis of data mining algorighm about its performance and efficiency, and make some improvenment on the associated algorithm, which can improve the rate of data mining.(4)In the whole process of data mining, I use interative interface which can help users not only filter and create rules, but also make explanation on these rules. This function can facilitate the decision-makers to make some analysis and judgement.Finally, I make summary of my research and propose the next step of the work.
