On the basis of several developing method of CATIA V5's analysis and compare, this paper brings forward an tentative plan, which builds a standard part library on CATIA by CAA V5. Analysis of the goal for building the library, which is running on two different systems that of windows and CATIA, and the library has 3 functional modules in its framework.The paper sorts the standard part on basis of GB, design the main interface of library, in which selects part and reads the corresponding data from Access file. It uses the ADO database to accomplish the mission of reading Access file; this way of storage reduces the redundancy of data, and improves the maneuverability of data.By analyzing of CAA V5's internal structure and mechanism, sort the part by the feature difference; establish part modeler, including bolt, screw, washer, key and pin. The paper carries out the function, which builds standard involuntary gear by parameters.Being different to former ones, our system builds part's entity with the data read directly from data file. Differentiate to development by Automation API, the paper uses CAA V5 to establish the library. It has import significance no matter to the deeper development of system, or research on developing method of CAA V5 C++ API.
