The Social Education Function Of The Museum

The social education function of museum have an important status in the three functions of museum..Since the definition of museum confirmed, with the changes and development of society,its contents is changing and improving in constant; but the social education of museum is never changed. Since the1990s,Chinese Museum influenced by western developed country’s museum education concept, and paid attention to the social education function of museum. Since reform and opening-up, our country museum enterprise fast development, has built a batch of to the Shanghai museum, nanjing museum, shaanxi history museum and so on modern museum. In2009, shaanxi history museum was rated as the central to build one of the eight museum, and it represents the level at the present stage of our country’s museum in the scientific research and social education.This article mainly to the shaanxi history museum as an example, introduces the development of the social education function after the museum is opening free, and how to excavate potential advantages of the museum, and better play its role in the national education.
