As time goes by and the progress in society,enhancing the scientific and cultural quality of the people has increasingly become the focus of social concern.Facing the issue of how to improve national scientific literacy and cultural identity,Japan has relatively mature experience in cultivating people's wisdom,improving national literacy,and assisting school education by museum education.Japan began to establish museums after the Meiji Restoration,making full use of the favorable conditions of the museum and playing an important role in the formation of national scientific literacy.After modem times,the museums in Japan have mushroomed.Japan takes a series of preliminary preparations and hardware rectification.They take the implementation of museum education activities and school museum cooperation as the main forms,which have helped enhancing national science literacy and public aesthetic capabilities and promoting people's all-round development.In addition,they have achieved relatively good results.This thesis takes Japanese museum education as a research perspective,and conducts a detailed analysis of the implementation of museum education in Japan.The aim is to provide reference for the museum education in the new era in China.This study mainly applies four research approaches including literature research,historical research,comparative analysis and case study.The study consists of six parts.The introduction mainly describes the reason and significance of the topic.The first chapter reviews the history of Japanese museum education.The second chapter introduces the implementation of Japanese museum education,including its theoretical basis,basic conditions for implementation and the development of specific activities.The third chapter is a case study.The fourth chapter is to summarize the effectiveness and characteristics of Japanese museum education.The fifth chapter briefly summarizes the history and current situation of Chinese museum education.Through the comparison between the two countries,the similarities and differences can be gathered and lessons can be learned for reference.This will provide some feasible suggestions for the development of museum education in China.
