There have been more than one million people participate in China’s mainland Doujin activity, while the fanfictions on the network are also exceed hundreds of thousands pieces. Compared to the overall population of Internet users, Doujin is still a small minority, but Doujin culture obviously cannot be simply interpreted just as a group of enthusiasts’online game. Network world is a world composed by stranger. Thus, those issues like how do the unfamiliar Doujin get familiar, how do they organize their activities or how do they generate their power and distribute it, etc., are all worth exploring. This paper serves the Doujin communication activities as a research starting point, focusing on Doujin’s power generation mechanism while try to detail the generating elements of Doujin’s power, and explain the causes of them. Through the representative case, we expect to achieve the following goals as make mutual understanding between Doujin and the masses, enrich the contemporary power research, and deepen the community research on Internet. This paper is divided into five parts. The introduction defines the correlation concept about Doujin and reviewes the studies of Doujin communication, community and power. We pay special attention to the ethical issues of virtual fieldwork. Chapter one summarizes the historical development and current structure of the case in this article, in which women, student, youth are not only the features of this case, but also the background elements of Doujin culture. The rheological power interrelated with management power and discourse power implies the different approach of Doujin power’s generation. Chapter two concerns the management power’s generation mechanism. Microanalysis shows that rule, tradition and belief are closely related to the generation of management power while mechanism of it could be concluded to Weber power pyramid, while the ordinary Doujin’s management power depends more on panopticon. Chapter three focuses on the mechanism of Doujin’s discourse power generation. Analysis of the creation and social intercourse of Doujin shows that connection and resources are two major elements to discourse power’s generation. From the perspective of communication, the mechanism of discourse power’s generation could be interpreted as two steps, agenda setting and opinion climates’ creating. Besides, Foucault’s discourse control theory offers us some more variables to reference. Chapter four concludes the mechanism of Doujin power’s generation. Moreover, it discusses the foothold, reflections and applications about Doujin power generation mechanism separately. Study suggests that power is an important part of Doujin’s emotional interaction rituals. According to the users, the use of power generation mechanism may be good or the contrary. Regarding to the existing problems like information narrowing, group polarization or erosion by commercial interests, we finally give out our own solutions by connect those problems with their social background.
