The research of multifunctional rotor experiment system gives full play to advantage of the virtual instrument technology, meets the experiment teaching requirements of the students, guides students to combine theory with practice, and has a great significance on the experimental teaching. The students can complete flexible rotor vibration measurement experiment by the system, including displacement sensor experiment, velocity sensor experiment, acceleration sensor experiment, speed measurement experiment, critical speed measurement experiment. In addition, it can also perform many kinds of rotor fault simulation experiment, such as the rotor quality imbalance, rotor misalignment, fasteners loose, and complete fault data collection, analysis and diagnosis.First, the article details the compositions of the multifunctional rotor experiment system, designs first order simulation filter, and chooses difference measurement methods according to the types of the signal source. Main functions and features of the data acquisition and on-line analysis software and signal analysis and processing software are summarized.Second, the article discusses LabVIEW software programming framework, and researches data sampling and online analysis software based on the producers and the consumers by using optimization data flow technology, multithreading technology and circulation cache technology. The article focuses on the functionalities of the software, using methods and implementation process, and shows many online analysis functions.Then the plans of specific pretreatment before the rotating mechanical fault diagnosis are presented. Putting forward common methods of the vibration signal analysis: waveform analysis, spectrum analysis, Bode figure analysis, polar coordinates analysis, the axis path analysis, two-dimention holographic analysis, three-dimensional spectrum analysis. Order analysis technique is used in processing non-stationary vibration signals. Signal analysis and processing software is programmed by LabVIEW.Finally,three types of fault are simulated by experiment, which are rotor imbalance, rotor misalignment and fasterner loose, and the fault signal is also analysed and processed after acquistion.
