This paper studied the air blower based on the LabVIEW online monitoring and fault diag-nosis system. The hardware of system include signal filtering, resonance demodulation and data acquisition card design, Software design complete in LabVIEW that modern signal processing platform, Program about signal storage, signal analysis, fault diagnosis, fault alarm, the time domain and frequency domain waveform display.According to the mechanism of vibration signals, combined with fault diagnosis technology, It provides a time-domain analysis of non-dimensional parameters, spectral analysis, cepstrum analysis, Envelope and the wavelet analysis method in the signal analysis module, Design of the Fault Diagnosis Expert System, in time to determine the operational status of equipment, give all kinds of fault information.Monitoring system in order to extract air blower gear box, bearing the initial fault informa-tion, hardware used the resonance demodulation technique, Software used wavelet analysis tech-niques, the two ways verify each other. Further improve the accuracy of fault diagnosis. Large air blower can be accurately detected in the initial failure, Components clearly show the charac-teristics of the early failures, correct and effective way to reveal the occurrence of faults and de-velopment.The research results of air blower monitoring on line and fault diagnosis system base on LabVIEW have been successfully applied to online air monitoring system in chemical plant. Various functions have been tested, And successfully detected the initial fault in gear box. The successful application of the results for the enterprise to develop a reasonable plan to safeguard equipment, improve equipment operation and management level, and eventually realize the goal of predictive maintenance of equipment to lay the foundation.The successful application based on LabVIEW air blower monitoring on line and fault di-agnosis system will have following benefits for company.(1) Reduce the maintenance people and costs.(2) From the management of air blower state to achieve after the maintenance, planned maintenance and predictive maintenance.(3) Early detection of potential failures and reduce air blower downtime, increase produc-tivity.(4) When problems can be found fault shutdown, the operator can control the air blower guide to minimize the loss.(5) Reasonable forecast the life of air blower, so that the equipment can work in long time under the security situation.The signal conditioning instrument designing in system has independent intellectual prop-erty rights and it has been the national patent.
