| Business Process Management is a systemic management approach to integrate various business aspects of an enterprise. At present, most Business Process Management Systems can only provide Business Process Discovery, Business Process Design, Business Process Execution, and Business Process Administration tools, which rarely provide Business Process Optimization tool. With the increasingly globalization process of the economy, competitions between enterprise are becoming stronger. So enterprises urgently need to optimize and reengineer their business processes. Meanwhile, as Business Process Optimization is the base of Business Process Reengineer, it is necessary to research Business Process Optimization. Optimized business processes can help enterprises promote the benefit and enhance efficiency. This article discusses the metrics of Business Processes, which is the key of Business Process Optimization stage. The design and develop a reasonable Business Process Metrics Tool can greatly enhance the integrity and usefulness of BPM, so the metrics of Business Processes is of great significance.This paper is written based on sub-project of the important project of National 863 Plan "Business process management oriented software production line" (2007AA010305),while depth researched and analysised metric modeling, metric implementation, detailed design of metric. That is summed up, and makes improvement and innovation. Its main tasks are the following:1. This paper summarized related research of the business process management, software metric and business process metric field and Analyzed the necessity of these three fields' combination.2. This paper presented the business process metrics meta-model of model driven and business process metrics model.3. This paper researched on business process metrics indicator, driven metric, base metric, data collection and analysis and computation.4. Under the guidance of the above theory, this paper designed and developed business process metric tool. |
