Museum Public Education Mode

Combining data analysis and case study method, the thesis studied the issue of "public education models" in museum. The author collated and integrated data from the "Museum of the world's top hundred education-related data tables" as the basis, focusing on case study of "public education" in Jewish Museum Berlin with its introduction and exploration education activities. The thesis analyzes the world's top one hundred public education museums and shows its current distribution of projects in order to present the general development of the museum public education status quo. And then, from "collection content" and "subordination" of museum their own properties, it describes intrinsic link between Public Education model and "collection content", "subordination" of museum. Above the general rules, the second part focuses on the Jewish Museum in Berlin's achievements and breakthroughs in the public education. This thesis illuminates that the museum in the performance of its public education functions highlights four features such as "individualized education, meeting needs education," "interactive and action education mode", "focused on Jewish and National Culture", and "focusing but without losing the balance of the public education system". On this basis to explore reasons why the Museum formated the public education model and analyze respectively from the four angles "the Public Education of Museum in the world and the characteristics of the local Public Education of Museum in Germany", "the museum's own property", "German educational philosophy", "'national identity' educational mind". Above all the illustration and analysis, the thesis explores inspiration and reference for current "public education of museum" in China.
