Guizhou Normal University, Integrated Management Information Systems Analysis And Design

In recent years, with the rapid development of modern information technology and network technique, informationization has become an irresistible trend. Colleges and universities are cradles of high-tech talents, and university enrollments have been expanding year by year. So, it is necessary for colleges and universities to establish appropriate management information systems. However, currently, each functional department of colleges and universities has independent transaction processing information systems which are not universal and shared. So, it inevitably leads to some problems, such as, the duplication of statistics workload, inconsistent and inaccuration of dates, the loss of dates and so on. Therefore, the informatization, networking and modernization of management systems have become an inevitable trend of the development of colleges and universities. In order to meet the current development of higher education and administration and to provide a reliable basis for Leadership in decision-making, it has become an important task for managers of colleges and universities to use the information technology to reform and innovate the Integrated Information management. Using the development of management information system of the Department of Education and Science (Gui zhou Normal University)as an example, using the preservation and maintenance of all kinds of electronic information as the theme,this paper analyzed the business processes, functional requirements of the system and designed an integrated management information system to support the share of information during various departments.Functions of the system cover the administrative activities of all institut, including information release platform, management of teachers, teaching management, research information, student information, party member information, league member information, library materials, laboratory management, adult education and so on.The administration departments at all levels of management use the same set of updated information and share data, reduce duplication of efforts, to facilitate information management. The system provides a platform to trace and manage information of the administration of GuiZhou Normal University,reducing the cost of the manual mode and stand-alone computer management, improving the accuracy, authenticity of data.lt plays an valunable role in the standardation and efficiency of administration of the Department of Education and Science (in Gui Zou Normal University).
