China attracts a large number of enterprises because of its huge market potential and low labor cost advantages, therefore it intensifies the competition among enterprises in the market. At the same time, a flat organization and the scale of abatement, and so on is bringing unprecedented pressure to enterprises. As a typical of knowledge-based economy and high-tech in the 21st century, the work pressure of IT companies' employees has become to be consensus in and outside the industry. Too much pressure on employees and organizations has become to be negative for all of them.The author elaborates the motive and meaning of this paper in the first part. Then the author proposes the content and structure on the basis of previous studies. In the second part the author discusses the research about work pressure at first, and then recalls the pressure management theory and the relationship between pressure and work performance. Then the consequences for work pressure are pointed out and the limitations of the previous studies and the main problem what she wants to solve are showed. IT employees in Qingdao are selected as a research target group in the third part of this paper. We conduct a survey through the work pressure-depth interviews and questionnaires of IT employees. In order to comprehensively reflect the status of work pressure and pressure management for IT employees in Qingdao, the study targets involve employees of different gender, age, job, business nature and scale of organizations. The author proposes pressure management strategy for IT employees in Qingdao according to paper-analysis and document& information-study in the fourth part of the paper. And then on the basis of in-depth study, a pressure management model concluding three levels of individuals, job and organization has been built which makes the pressure management of IT employees to be an organic system.
