Research Of Risk Managemnet And Application Of Management Model For Software Project

Risk management is an important part of software project management. Software project risk affects project implementation, if the project risk becomes reality, it may affect the progress of the project and increase project costs and even make software project not achieved. With the proper risk management, we can minimize the occurrence of risk. However, in a lot of domestic software enterprises, the risk management awareness is not so strong or the risk management practice is inappropriate, which results in late delivery, over budget, or even failure. Therefore, the successful project management requires good project risk management.At the first, the thesis introduces and anlyzes the basic concepts of risk management, the risk attributes, and the risk characters in detail. The software project has its special requirements. So, based on the above basic concepts, the thesis also introduces and analyzes the characteristics of software project and the classification of risk. And the author gives some suggestion for the various types of software project risks combined with the author's own practical experience.The thesis has an in-depth research on the major software project risk management processes, which focuses on risk identification, risk quantification, risk response plans, and risk monitoring, and for each process, the frequently asked questions and commonly used methods are also summarized and analyzed. And also the author gives some appropriate recommendations combined with the author's own experience.Following the introduction of the major software project risk management processes, the thesis has a further study for the current models of software project risk management, and emphasizes the analysis of the CMMI risk management model system. And the thesis introduces the method of Bayesian Network to improve CMMI risk management model, which establishes CMMI risk management model based on Bayesian Network. The model has both advantages of CMMI risk management processes and Bayesian Network illation.At last, the thesis has an in-depth analysis for the practical application of the CMMI risk management model based on Bayesian Network. By using the model, the company improved its risk management capability and also passed CMMI 3 and CMMI 4 certification successfully, which proved the CMMI risk management model based on Bayesian Network is effective for software project risk management and meets the requirements of CMMI system.
