Nowadays, the renewal of OSS/BSS system in domestic enterprise is in the transitionalperiod. Originally state owned telecommunication industry has become highly competitive aftermarket being shared by several telecommunication operators. Old product orientedOSS(Operation Support System) is falling behind to meet the demands of competition and newlyappeared services as well as variety of specific customer requests. Therefore, with the help ofnew generation OSS, Telecom operators expect to improve their services and also have theability to quickly develop and deploy new business. Meanwhile, it can also reduce operation costand enhance the core competition ability. These domestic operators are generally facing the following issues when building their newOSS/BSS. 1) Lack of a scientific and rational data model. The original data scattered in variousstand-alone single-business systems lack a unified data model specification; while the customerdata, product data, service data and resource data in the same business system are mixed withanother. Due to this, there will be data conflict and constraints between business, which seriouslyaffected the introduction of new services and modification. 2) Not enough systematic analysismethods in system architecture design. There are not clear hierarchical principles of systemdesign and the principles of design and division to component. These shortcomings lead tosystem-level unclear, the degree of components not enough, seriously affecting the systemreconfigurability, etc.The World Telecommunication Management Forum TMF (Telecom Management Forum)proposed a set of methodologies and models for OSS/BSS. But it has many problems whichdirectly applied to Chinese companies. Through the research and summary of the basic conceptsand ideas of New Generation Operations Support System (NGOSS) , the thesis carries out a morecomprehensive, concise exposition to some of the key concepts of NGOSS and emphasis onanalysis of shared information data model (SID: Shared Information / Data). TMF's SID model isbetter, but its realization is complex, costly and not entirely suitable for domestic businesssupport system design. The thesis extends the standard model of SID in the definition of theproduct and its implementation and puts forward by the atomic components, compositecomponent, atomic packages, package and brand new products consisting of data model. Thethesis simplifies the SID model and puts forward an innovative customer models and productmodels, it analysis the SID model and new model in complexity and the difference in cohesionaccording to the current situation of Information System in Chinese Telecommunicationenterprise. This improved SID key model suits the characteristic of Chinese enterprise and isdeigned in line with SID model. It has good theoretical value and can become a good practicalguidance for OSS/BSS construction. The IOMSS based on this outcome of the research project has been applied in a company. This system model verified through actual practice of building is easy to implement, with verygood reconfigurability, adaptivity. It has successfully completed the integration, transformationof the existing support systems and supported its integrated marketing management better.
