| In recent years, with the social and economic development, there is a great improvement of IP network, and various kinds Internet applications that based on IP network have become indispensable component of daily work and life. Therefore, the demand of Internet security and stability is increasing. Under such circumstances, the network's performance monitor and analysis is becoming particularly important, and there is a great need for accurate, real-time monitor of network equipments. This paper discusses the design and implementation of IP network monitor and alarm system.Based on the analysis of the Simple Network Management Protocol(SNMP), this thesis applies the SNMP to the communication between the collector machine and the snmp agent. SNMP is made by the Internet Engineering Task Force for solve the management problems of Internet routers. SNMP is the most popular network management protocol, which is designed to deal with nothing with protocol, so it can work on IP, IPX, AppleTalk, OSI as well as other transmission protocols. At present, almost all of network equipment manufacturers to realize the SNMP support, the use of SNMP data collection is an economic, reliable and ideal solution.IP network monitor and alarm system is composed of collector and monitoring terminal. The collector complete data collection, data storage and syslog receive treatment, monitoring terminal view data and syslog through WEB browser. In this paper, the realization of this system is analyzed in terms of its system architecture, software design and other aspects. The system uses the popular B/S framework, by through PHP and Oracle database, it provides a good user interface.Through the testing, the system was proved to be having a good ability, such as easy on installation and debug, reliability on running, convenience on operating, veracity on data-collecting and so on. It achieves the preconceived goal, meets the actual requirement, and has a wide application in the projects. |
