As the rapid development of computer network from its birth to now,the form of computer network is becoming more and more complex:on the one hand,the scale of network interconnection is growing soon;on the other hand,the diversification of the connecting network equipments,It makes the performance and efficiency of computer network a higher requirement.All sorts of network business have increased the investment of network management,and network management has already become a specialized field.To unite in order to use a mechanism to get or set the parameters of equipment,Simple Network Management Protocol(SNMP,Simple Network Management Protocol)arises at the historic moment.In order to guarantee network communication quality and efficiency,good configuration management plan highlights the importance.Traditional means of configuration management is very limited,often need the person familiar with equipment structure and computer network use the command line to configure.It will spend a lot of time and cost.How to improve the quality of network management effectively and reduce the cost,and the design and implementation of efficient network management system become the core issues.This paper expounds the design and implementation of function based on SNMP network management system.It has realized directly operate the parameters in the node such as get objective parameter information of a device,in visualization software interface.Network management software can be used on different devices.It will not be affected by the influence of the difference of equipment and effectively improves the efficiency of network management.In this paper,by analyzing the simple network management protocol,using plug-in development approach,it has analysis the network management system based on SMNP and completed the system design.In addition,it has completed the code implementation and test validation,made some achievements.Network managers can send SNMP message management equipment parameters by using visualization software interface.The administrator can also get the equipment record log information according to the demand,the event event reason of trace and troubleshooting,etc.
