Design And Implementation Of Learning Management System Base On Scrom In Normal University

The Ministry of Education put forward the concept of carrying out research-based education in middle schools in April 2001, with the requirement of the new policy, the normal universities should follow the requirement and try to encourage students to participate and explore, to cultivate the students'ability of finding and solving problems, so as to adapt themselves to the new teaching environment after graduation.There are two key points for research-based teaching, one is the teaching process, that is, to follow the tracks of students'learning; the other is research-based teaching. The current campus website still can not satisfy the two points. This software aims at setting up a learning system based on SCORM and achieving the educational aim through research-based teaching.Firstly, the paper illustrates the significance and necessity of developing the learning management system in normal universities on the base of SCORM criterion; then, presents a detailed introduction to the SCORM criterion and a brief one to the technical background of achieving it; and finally explains the specific channel of designing and implementing of the system. Respect to reform basic education, by constructing a.NET-based learning management system platform to promote the concept of normal universities to promote reach-based education.Following the requirement of being practical and expandable, the paper analyzes the key function of the LMS system on the base of web-system model, meanwhile, several modules of the system are the priority researching points. The paper also analyzes the functional structure of the system and achieves the designing of systematic function and database structure, and makes it available for users' registration, leading-in of the course, online learning and tests, teacher-student exchanging, fuzzy search, management of research subjects etc. Among the modules, online learning and tests, course and research management, teacher-student exchanging are the key ones.The system adopts web-based B/S framework, take Windows Server 2003 as service operating system, SQL Server 2008 as the backend database server, web server as IIS, and Internet Explorer as customer service client with the help of ASP.NET, ASP.NET MVC, C#, AJAX technology. There are two ways of communicating between Customer service client and server, one is synchronous communication and the other asynchronous communication which achieved by the technology of AJAX communicating. The system offers an open and runnable platform for the SCORM theory on one hand, and provides a learning environment for inquiry learning on the other, so as to lay a good foundation for normal students in serving primary and secondary schools.
