Study And Application Of Mobile Education Based On SCORM

With a wider acceptance of the concept of the learning-style society and a further implementation of the education for all as well as the rapid development of distance education supported by computer network technology and wireless communication technology, recent years has seen increasingly growing potentialities in mobile education. However, at present in China, the research and exploration in this field is far from sufficient, so are the related practices. But the good point is the amazing permeation of wireless communication in China, which offers a solid foundation for me to carry out research in this field.In China, in the concrete research practice of mobile education, the development of mobile learning sources has met the similar questions that occurred in the development of network education sources, namely: a poor performance in transplantation, being bound to Mobile Learning Management System(MLMS) over toughly; insufficient interaction between mobile learning coursewares and MLMS, MLMS's incapability to track and record the learners' learning information and mobile learning coursewares' incapability to provide personalized customization according to the studying state of every learner, and so on. Directed mainly at these problems about which few studies have been touched within the country by far, this thesis is designed to display the importance of studying and developing standardized mobile learning coursewares.Based on the Sharable Content Object Reference Model(SCORM) standard and the characteristics of standardized mobile education system, this thesis puts forward a framework for mobile education system based on SCORM, and, furthermore, offers ways to work out the existing problem in present coursewares after studying SCORM CAM(Content Aggregation Mode:CAM), SCORM RTE(Run-Time Environment:RTE) and SCORM SN(Sequencing and Navigation:SN), realizing the transplantation of mobile learning coursewares by the reference of SCORM CAM, learning information interaction between mobile learning coursewares and MLMS by the reference of SCORM RTE and mobile learning coursewares' personalized customization by the reference of SCORM SN.In the meantime, mobile education's specific features have been taken into consideration in this thesis.
