Network Of Distance Education Technology Research And Application Of The Standard

Modern distant learning(Web-based learning) is the main prevalent aspect of the international and domestic education today, however, the Web-based learning resources are generally lack of collaboration and reusability, thus with the development of the modern distant learning, the world has been recognized that the sharebility of the learning resources and the interoperability of systems have key importance to the practicalbility and economical utility of the Web-based distant learning. Therefore, to provide a standardized specification for the E-learning is urgent and necessary.This work was supported by a grant from the National Key Technologies R & D Program of China during the 10th Five-Year Plan Period . In this paper we first introduced the development of the international E-learning standards investigation.Then we made a brief comparison among the comprehensive ones . Afterwards, we choose the SCORM standards as the representation to make deeper study because of its rapid and leading development.Under the background of development and competition of the E-learning both international and domestic, the research of the E-learning standards of our country has come on the stage. In this paper ,we earnestly study the GETS standards that our country has been working-out and made a detailed introduction of it. After comparing with the SCORM standards, we found the resemblance .Consequently, we developed the standard courseware on the LMS of SCORM, from which we can draw experience to implement and generalize the our GETS standards .Eventually, we put forward some suggestions on how to supplement and improve the investigation on E-learning standards of our country.
