As the complexity of China's coal mining conditions, serious natural disasters,, low overall productivity level of coal enterprises, relatively weak security productive base, coal production and security problems are conspicuous, serious accidents have occurred, coal remains China's current production safety accident-prone key industries, production safety situation remains grim. Although China's coal and gas outburst prediction and measures are at the world's advanced level, but the safety of disaster prevention and disaster-resistant instruments and equipment had a larger gap between foreign countries. The current monitoring system has so many shortcomings and inadequacies. such as: cable transmission network cabling complexity, labor-intensive, high communications line maintenance costs; network structure is relatively fixed, not suitable for an extension of the dynamic changes in heading face requirements; monitoring points relatively fixed.The topic for the current gas monitoring system for these deficiencies is proposed based on wireless sensor networks in a coal mine gas monitoring system . the overall program was designed based on ZigBee technology for coal mine gas monitoring system for wireless sensor network, include hardware and software, a wireless monitoring system was estabished in the complex environment Coal mine gas under the formation. And designs wireless sensor network node hardware based on the MSP430F149 and the CC2420 (radio frequency chip), and the uses Mote View build gas monitoring system monitoring screen.Paper analyzes the system design objectives, functions and performance. The monitoring system can achieve a full range of gas concentration, real-time monitoring and intelligent early warning, can effectively reduce the coal mine production safety risks, and curb gas incident, has a certain practical value.
