With the formulation of national sustainable development strategies, the continuous improvement of people’s ideology, environmental problems are becoming increasingly widespread concern in society. The people put forward higher requirements for environmental monitoring and environmental protection, but the current environmental monitoring methods can not meet people’s needs. The emergence of wireless sensor networks opens a new idea for environmental monitoring techniques. Wireless sensor network is a self-organizing distributed network system which is made of a large number of sensor nodes which have the perception, compunction and numeracy skills. ZigBee technology is a typical protocol for wireless sensor networks and very suitable for the environmental monitoring system that has lot of features such as low power consumption, low cost, large number of connected devices, safe and reliable date communication, ad-hoc.In this paper, we analyze the task scheduling mechanism of the operating system, and discuss the network address allocation scheme and the binding function of the node. This paper describes the whole system design and focuses on the research of the design and implementation of the system soft. In the software design, we complete the software design of the coordinator, the routing node, and end node which is based on the Z-Stack. Its main content including the functions such as task event handler function, date acquisition function, the key trigger function, and send function. The security risks of the system:unauthorized node to join, communication information being monitored or tampered and the node is abnormal; we take measures to deal with The tests show that the operation of the system is stable and reliable, and the data collection is accurate. Achieve the expected goal.
