Clinical Study On Treatment Of Polycystic Ovary Syndrome With Bu-shen-yang-jing Decoction

Objective:To investigate the efficacy and mechanism of the Bu-Shen-Yang-Jing Decoction(BSYJD) in treating patients with polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS). Methods:60 patients with PCOS were divided into two groups randomly. BSYJD was given to the treatment group including 30 patients. At the same time Liu-Wei-Di-Huang Decoction was given to the control group including 30 patients. After 1 course of treatment, observe the changes of the syndrome of Traditional Chinese Medicine(TCM), serum hormone levels such as FSH,LH,PRL,E2,T,INS,APN, the Ovarian stroma area(S), Total Ovarian area(A), S/A, Ovarian volume (V),snd PI, RI measured by Vaginal B-ultrasonic. Results:By the comprehensive efficacy,the total effective rate of treatment group is 93.4%, moreover, it is 56.7% in the control group respectively. There are significant differences between two groups (P<0.01). By the two groups before and after treatment in patients with endocrine and biochemical indicators of comparative efficacy, BSYJD can obviously decrease the levels of LH, LH/FSH, T, INS, increase APN(P<0.01). In the other hand, the two groups after treatment in patients with ovarian morphological indicators are relatively, BSYJD can obviously decrease the levels of S, A, S/A, increase the levels of PI, RI, and improve the polycystic change of the ovary(P<0.01). Conclusion:BSYJD is an effective medicine in the treatment on PCOS. BSYJD can work through a variety of ways to remedy PCOS such as reducing the body's level of ISN and T,adjusting the abnormality of Hypothalamus-Pituitary-Ovarian aixs, improving IR,et al.
