With the rapid development of tourism industry, China's tourism education also will have a vigorous development in recent years, and formed a tourism education system based on the levels of secondary school, vocational, undergraduate, graduate (MS, PhD), in which the undergraduate tourism education becomes the major source of training tourism professional talents. Undergraduate tourism education was formally established from 1982, and gradually explored its own path of professional characteristics. The tourism industry is labor-intensive industry, many non-graduates begin to join the tourism industry, coupled with vocational high school, secondary, post-graduate, which makes that undergraduate tourism management lost its advantages. Its major reason is that the curriculum setting separates from the society, and lack of vocational students'practical ability and post-graduates'research and innovation spirit. Therefore, this paper takes the problems of curriculum setting in undergraduate tourism management as the clues, through the in-depth interviews with undergraduates and graduates in Tourism Management, and the tourism industry practitioners, it explores some of the ideas and views during the tourism Management curriculum reform, hopes that the curriculum setting can reflect the professional features in tourism management and highlight the epochal character and preceding character.The main contents of this article can be divided into the following sections:The first chapter, Introduction, it introduces the research background, topic evidence, research significance, literature review, research methods and innovations of this article.Chapter II, theoretical basis, it explains the concept of curriculum, course structure, curriculum evaluation and other related concepts, and raises the nature of the course, and the principles of curriculum setting and other related basic knowledge.Chapter III, it analyzes the current situation and problem of curriculum setting in China's tourism management. This part mainly elaborates in three aspects, firstly, it introduces the development process of China's higher tourism educational; secondly, it introduces the status of curriculum setting in China's tourism management; finally, it puts forward the curriculum setting in details, based on the conclusion of questionnaire surveys and interviews.Chapter IV, it mainly introduces the influence of tourism industry in curriculum setting of China's tourism management major. Through the analysis on the development situation of tourism industry, tourism industry talents, and the adaption between tourism education and tourism industry, it elaborates that the talents education should catch up with the development of tourism industry, thus it can realize that the professional talents are satisfied with the requirement of tourism industry.Chapter V, according to the required talents of tourism industry and the problems in curriculum setting. It puts forward the opinions and suggestions of curriculum reform in the major of tourism management.
