With the intensify of marketing competence, the original management modelcould not be adapt to the development of market. The previous management styleof single cycle or level can hardly solve the complicated problem that most ofenterprises are facing to. Integrated and systematic management has become thecommon choice of all companies that has got certain management experience. ERPsystem is a kind of system that takes emphasis on the overall management andsystematic management. It also pay attention to the change of outsideenvironment,the relation between company and outside ,it can support global andmultiple business. It can also cut down cost by most excellent management andallocation to current resources.Jinan Refinery emphasizes its information construction very much. Thecompany has built into its LAN (Local Area Network) through light cable when itwas in its basis construction. After construction over ten years, the ManagementInformation System and Produce Information System of Jinan Refinery has beenwell-equipped. It plays an important role for Jinan Refinery. At present, JinanRefinery is beginning to implement ERP(Enterprise Resource Planning). JinanRefinery hopes that ERP can realize advanced management soul which ishigh-quality, low-cost and high-benefit.First of all, this article introduces mainly application situation of informationtechnology of Petroleum & Chemical Industry and Jinan Refinery, and showspresent situation of Jinan Refinery management operation.Secondly, according to the present management situation of petroleum &chemical Industry and Jinan Refinery, this article discusses that it is capable toimplement ERP system in Jinan Refinery.Thirdly, this article is an example that Jinan Refinery —this typicalprocess-typed manufactory applies ERP system. It provides the actual solution ofERP system in Petroleum & Chemical Industry process-typed manufactory from sixsides including Production Management, Materiel Management, Sales Management,Equipment Management, Human Resource Management.Fourthly, there are some problems to be worth noticed in building informationsystem for enterprises in this article. It introduces the implement plan of JinanRefinery ERP system.Finally, this article expounds the relationship of ERP and enterprisemanagement from the angle of enterprise. It analyzes the risks applying ERPsystem and the prospects of Jinan Refinery future management operation afterapplying ERP system.
