Comparing with the current popular DVI, HDMI interface, DisplayPort interface has many merits like high-speed, simple structure, easy to upgrade, reliable content protection. Because of its inherent technical advantages, its application will become increasingly widespread, and gradually become the mainstream interface standard.The DisplayPort Pixel Error Analyzer system described in this article is different from the tradional signal detecting DisplayPort qualification method. It can analyze errors of every pixel in the transmission process and target the location, hence provide a convenient and complete way for qualification. Ways of developing fixtures for DisplayPort physical qualification is also presented.The main work of this paper is listed below:1. Design the systme architecture for pixel errors according to the actual needs of the error detection of DP signal transmission.2. Prove the feasibility of the system structure through simulation and analyse, based on the requirements of the system.3. Design the hardware circuits of DP PEA, including the DP receiver module, PCI interface module, DDR module, FPGA circuit and the system power circuit.4. Design the hardware of the DP fixture.5. Finish the program of the main control module in DP PEA with Verilog, including the DP capture module, PCI interface controller, DDR controller, PCI FIFO module, DDR FIFO module, Crossbar Switch signal path select module, DP analyzer module.6. Test the system completely. The tests include SI test, power test and the logic test, make sure functions and performances of the system can satisfy the requirments.The technology studied in this paper is in urgent need. What we achieved here can help the debug and qualification of DP interface. Also, it can help to spread the application of DP interface.
