The monitoring system of the mine is an important means to ensure safety producing, which is compose of many kinds of sensors, workstations(ie. controlling function signal acquisition device), data communication devices, signal transmission cables, special monitoring system used for monitoring computer. Nowadays, most monitoring system communicates with workstation by the mode of RS-485. The most tasks can be finished by the single CPU, such as analog and controlling binary signal acquisiting, controlling binary signal outting when analog (ie. gas) is overrun, communicating with monitoring computer and so on. That is why the performance of the system (ie. communicating performance) is limited. Because the standard of the mine safety producing becomes much higher, and there are various questions in the current monitoring systems, such as the problem affects the monitoring system. The paper research the nowadays'work mode of monitoring system, and designed a new system based on CAN and USB.Firstly, this paper introduces that the field-bus used in the mine monitoring system, and then it shows the advantage of CAN-bus in this field and the reason of applicating USB interface. Secendly, this paper illustrates the hardware and the software of CAN-USB data transporting interface. The part of hardware in this paper mainly illuminates the circuits of CAN-bus interface and USB interface. The part of software mainly shows principle of receiving and sending data through the CAN-bus, the more-master arithmetic and the fireware of USB. The last part is about ant-jamming and system dugging.In a word, the USB-CAN data tranporting interface introduced by this paper has many benefits, such as transporting data quickly, plug and play, etc.. The interface has already reached the monitoring systems of the mine's designing requirement. It realizes the communication between workstation and monitoring systems by CAN-bus.
