As the rapid development of computer network and communication technology, using wireless communication network of mobile operators provided to develop oil-extractor remote monitoring is an important direction of "digital oil field" development. This paper is to design a scheme of Intelligent Electric Roller pumping unit remote monitoring system based on GPRS. The purpose of designing is to use wide coverage of GPRS network to carry out wireless network building, real-time monitoring and centralized management of scattered distribution of oil-extractor.Design and development of this remote monitoring system consists of the terminal distribution system and the data field remote monitoring system. The terminal distribution system using PLC and frequency control technology to achieve precise control of the pumping unit, and through the signal of sensor and the inverter operating parameters of frequency converter on the pumping unit to achieve the data collection. The data field remote monitoring system using GPRS wireless data transmission terminal, and through the GPRS network and the Internet, achieve to monitor the terminal distribution system real-timely. The hardware designing of GPRS wireless data transmission terminal consist of Atmega64 high-performance CPU, AT45DB16 memory, and GPRS wireless module MC39i, and completed the configuration parameters of transmission terminals and defined communication data format.The programe uses the client/server software development model and Winsock network programming, using Visual C++ programming language to implement the monitoring and control system's software design. Monitoring software acquires the basic parameters of oil-extractor,such as current, frequency, stroke, puhch, besides of ,using the acceleration sensor means to calculate polished rod load, and dawing the pump indicator diagram, thus avoiding the fatigue failure of pressure transducer becaude of acpuire polished rod load directly. Comparing with the analysis of the pump indicator diagram dawed by indicator, the data obtained by the remote monitoring system fully meet the requirements of field application.The remote monitoring system was being tested on Shengli oil field Chunliang factory for nearly three months, Both of hardware and software of control monitoring working stably, data collecting has good real-time and reliability, the drawing of the pump indicator diagram accord with well state very well, achieved the purpose of system development perfectly.
