As an efficient energy heating device, Heat Pump device is widely used in buildingheating, exhaust-heat reuse and other fields. With the increasing complexity of the unitworking environment, the traditional on-site management is not able to adapt to theapplication of heat pump system in complicated environments any more. Theappearance of remote monitoring system expanded the management capability ofoperation and maintenance, realized the time synchronization, spatially separated andremote synchronization between officers and Heat Pump, and also improved thecost-effective operation of the system. The program of wireless remote monitoringbased on GPRS, which not only has the advantages of traditional remote monitoringsystem,but also solves many problems like huge wiring work, high cost, hard overhaul,difficult issues such as line maintenance expansion and so on, has a great significancefor heat pump research, application and promotion.The task of this research is to develop a remote monitoring system for a heat pumpbased on GPRS. It will help users achieve effective remote management andmaintenance of heat pump and provide the function of heat pump running real-timedisplay, information management, remote control or debug device, fault diagnosis,alarm, remote exclusion. By which this project could help to ensure the normaloperation of heat pump and provide data to support heat pump research.In the project, we have researched the heat pump working principles and thedistribution of monitoring points. Then we make analysis of the functional requirementsof remote monitoring system and complete the general design. This system consists ofthree parts which are local controllers, GPRS communication system and heat pumpremote monitoring center.As the existing infrastructure, the local pump controller is mainly responsible fordata acquisition and heat pump control. The design principles and hardware structurewill be researched and explained in detail in this paper.GPRS communication system is responsible for data transmission. The systemhardware takes the microcontroller STM32F103 as the core of control unit, and thedesign of circuit modules which includes GPRS communication, serial communication,power management, was finished. By studying GPRS data transmission characteristics,communication protocol was formulated. The underlying data terminal software and data center software are designed and functions such as network link, maintenance,communication, and data processing etc which are based on GRPS are finished.On basis of MFC framework, the remote monitoring center combinesmulti-threading, socket network programming, database, ADO database interface andother computer technologies. Software design based on the idea of a modular,object-oriented and event-driven ways, the functions which includes monitoring centeruser management, communications management, information management, remotecontrol, fault management and etc, are completedThe performance testing program of GPRS data transmission is designed. Thecharacteristics data of the GPRS communication is analyzed, thus optimizing itsperformance. The hardware immunity testing, GPRS data transfer performance testing,and monitoring system operation testing are done. The test results show that the remotemonitoring system functions operate normally, the system hardware has a betteranti-jamming capability and GPRS communication system is in line of monitoringsystem communication requirements.As a result, this system has characteristics as follows: user-friendly, feature-rich,low cost, stable performance, good in portability and develops, etc. It meets thesystem‘s design purpose and requirements.
