In order to protect cable, cable lines, patrol workers have to inspection cable lines to see whether there is fault lines hidden, repair line fault and so on. The intelligent patrol system in this article combines GPS, GSM, GPRS, GIS and other technologies, it can manage patrol workers' work automaticaly and intelligently. This intelligent patrol system can monitor patrol workers'work line, handle many datas automaticaly which returned by patrol workers, direct patrol workers to handle problems that met during patrol, and count patrol workers'working situation and so on.In this article, I focuseson design and implementation of real-time location module in intelligent Patrol system, improved patrol efficiency and enhance the personnel management functions. Intelligent Patrol system can overcome the lack of a reasonable officer on the patrol supervision and qualitative assessment exist in traditional manual, and also overcome the lack of unstandardized data records, data redundancy and lack of timeliness and other issues.So that the intelligent Patrol system has good application value in the field of telecommunications. The main results of this work are as follows:1. Gave real-time locating module program design needs analysis in intelligent Patrol system;2. Designed the a procedural framework for real-time location module in intelligent Patrol system, and developed the accessing location information sub-module, receiving location information sub-module, managevlocation information sub-module, and display location information sub-module;3. Cooperating with intelligent Patrol system development platform, achieved all the features in real-time location module, and completed the test analysis.
