Through the introduction of SDH synchronous transmission technique, combinated with the design and planning of China Telecom international SDH transmission system, the thesis discuss the model of international service protection.The thesis includes three parts:the working principle and developing trend of SDH synchronous transmission system, the design and planning of China Telecom international SDH transmission system and the model of international service protection.Firstly, the thesis demonstrates the working principle of SDH synchronous transmission system, then presents the key technique of SDH transmission line----the Wavelength Division Multiplexing technique. Furthermore, we give the wide prospect of the future communication industry.Secondly, aiming at the current situation of rapid development of international communication between China and Russia, for fulfilling the need of international services'development in the future and the enhancement of enterprise's competitiveness,the design and effective implementation have been made for the SDH synchronous transmission access on China-Russia No.2 system in several ways including the buildup of SDH communication transmission line, line design, equipment design, the management and maintenance of the network.Finally, based on the synchronous transmission, transmission system, transmission network, considering the problem about on traditional international transmission network, the thesis discuss the model of international service protection.
