Transmission Networks as the basis for carrying all types of business networks, the carriers are actively building of the conduct. How effectively, comprehensive, fully utilize the network resources to play the greatest benefits, constructs more clearly network architecture, more abundant support operations, more convenient maintenance operations, more efficient open circuit, more reliable services and more smooth expansion upgrade is construction and maintenance focused consider. Thus, the importance of transmission network optimization increasingly prominent. In this paper, the major work done by the author is:(1) From the network node, cabling, topology, capacity, security, business needs, and other aspects , analysis the transmission network status and development trends;(2) On the basis of theoretical analysis, existing transmission network data acquisition, research and analysis the problems of the transmission network ;(3) In view of the analysis result, in accordance with the transmission network own characteristics and actual situation, design a variety of optimization programs;(4) Using these optimization design program in Tianjin Unicom local transmission network optimization work.Through transmission network optimization, transmission capacity, quality, reliability, resource utilization, and so have been substantially higher. Proved that the design optimization program is feasible and effective.
