| Technology and application of EPON is developing rapidly. It has become one of the hot technology in the world. Beijing Unicom EPON is also actively involved in the testing and building,as a worker in Beijing Unicom I had the privilege to know in the Beijing Unicom EPON project design, construction and implementation of the work of the papers from the Beijing Unicom actual projects.The paper first introduces Ethernet Passive Optical Network (EPON).It summarizes the current FTTx technology, standards, the key technical and advantage.The paper focuses on EPON access network technology in the application of the user model.First It introduces the application of technology in three models, analysis of user access network status and needs of different users, pointing out that the current existence of the user access network construction and maintenance costs are high, management is not convenient to provide a single business lines, insufficient bandwidth and low. Final adoption of EPON technology in voice, data and Internet business in such areas as testing, demonstration of the feasibility of application of the model, further elaborated EPON technology is mature, the performance of existing networks tomeet the application requirements, to replace the existing telecommunications technology toprovide users with a wide range of communications solutions, is a more feasible future communication access technology.Next paper analyzed the current status of high-end residential access network and the user's communications needs, a detailed description of the high-end residential program of the EPON network access, and area clearance project design Qing Jin Garden's EPON access network programs and applications, concluding high-end residential EPON experience in the construction of access networks.Finally, it established the business forecast model of EPON based on the foreign development rule of EPON. With the price of fiber and EPON equipment cost falling and development of technology, the advatanges of EPON's high performance will be increasingly obvious.EPON technology will be more and more usable. |
