The Studies On Characters Of Science And Technology Reported In Party Newspaper Of New Centery

Within a new century, the rapid development of science and technology, permeating all aspects of life, has become the decisive factor in promoting social development. The characters of science and technology are main body in this area, committing the responsibilities of communication between technology and mass media, popular science or even "displaying" science and technology directly to the public. Therefore, the report on characters of science and technology is an important element. Party newspaper,as the official newspaper of the Chinese Communist Party which is a tool of propagandizing the party and the state's the lines, principles and policies, has unusual influence on report of characters of science and technology.In this paper, the combination of quantitative and qualitative methods have been carried out, People Daily and Hunan Daily are selected for the samples, according to the analysis of literature data. From the report number, report subject, report type, report orientation of subject value, the change and the trend on the party newspaper are given more specific analysis, finding that report characters in science and technology in People's Daily maintain a relatively stable trend, while the local party newspaper, Hunan paper, is declining. The author also finds some problems in People's Daily, such as narrow vision of reporting international scientific and technological characters; less emphasis on female characters in science and technology, few number of report, a simple idea when reporting, without guiding the audience as well as the corresponding inspiration.The article also discusses some constraints about the report on characters of science and technology in party newspaper. This paper has made some appropriate recommendations for improvement of report on characters of science and technology, such as the idea of media communication should have a wider perspective, concern the vital interests of the public; reporting model should be innovative, and strive to enhance the communication of scientific and technological characters; with the rise of the new media, the party newspaper not only adopt new technologies, but collaborate with new media and further expand the communication space, expanding their influence.
