Research On The Framework Of People’s Daily’s Report On The Centennial Anniversary Of The Founding Of The Communist Party Of China

As 2021 marks the centenary of the founding of the Communist Party of China,the media industry is focusing on this major theme.As the official newspaper of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China and the mainstream media in China,People’s Daily has launched a series of reports to celebrate the centennial anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China relying on its own resource advantages,playing a “mainstay” role in the mainstream media.This paper selects the special report of People’s Daily on “The Centennial Road of Struggle and the New Journey of Voyage”as the research sample.Based on framework theory,this paper focuses on the theme framework and discourse expression of People’s Daily’s report on the Centennial anniversary of the Founding of the Party,and comprehensively and systematically summarizes the practical experience and theoretical enlightenment of the report on the centennial anniversary of the founding of the Party.The paper is divided into four chapters.The first chapter summarizes the data characteristics of the cases reported by People’s Daily on the centennial anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party by constructing six categories:the number,length,layout,genres,sources and forms of special reports on “the Centennial Road of Struggle and a New Voyage”.The second chapter summarizes six subject categories of the special report "The Centennial Road of Struggle and the New Journey" by reading the whole sample,comprehensively presenting the image of the centennial Party.Then,it summarizes five theme framework types constructed by People’s Daily’s report on the centenary of the founding of the Party,namely,achievement narrative framework,event-years framework,spiritual inheritance framework,activity celebration framework and typical characters framework,and then analyzes the reasons for the formation of this framework.The third chapter uses discourse analysis method to analyze the news titles,news pictures and discourse rhetoric of the special reports.By means of high-frequency word statistics and case analysis,it summarizes the discourse expression characteristics of People’s Daily’s report on the centennial anniversary of the founding of the Party.In other words,the duality structure is often used in news headlines,showing positive emotional color on the whole.News pictures are distinctive and serve the theme;Pay attention to detail,use direct quotes,and make good use of authoritative data.The fourth chapter,based on the statistical analysis of the above three chapters,sums up the experience and inspiration of People’s Daily’s report on the centennial anniversary of the founding of the Party,namely,elaborate planning and innovation of the commemorative report mode;Based on historical facts,writing collective memory together;Reasonable construction,sing the theme of a hundred years of struggle;The Party history of light expression.Through the above analysis,we hope to explore the effective mode of memorial report and provide valuable reference significance.
