The Design And Implementation Of Application Status Bulletin Based On Portal

With the development of software engineering and the technical skills, and the improvement of the modern enterprises management, SaaS (Software as a Service) pattern is applied more and more in the enterprises informatization. SaaS providers, as the provider of the software, hardware and the relevant equipments, monitors the status of the running applications, to ensure the quality of the services which are leased by the customers so as to improve the competitiveness of both the provider and the leaseholder and meanwhile this propels the further improvement of the SaaS and intensifies the trend of the development of the software technology.This paper discusses on and introduces the status information the SaaS provider should take care when monitoring the status of the application products. Based on Java and the Portal framework, this paper also shows the design and implementation of the Application Status Bulletin which makes use of the features provided by Portal, including security assurance and Single Sign On so that this ASB is aggregated and SSOed. Meanwhile, this paper also studies on the Service Level Agreement (SLA) and complete the arithmetic for application status and the inside availability and performance. Firstly, this paper introduces the features of the Portal framework and the reason why we choose Portal and then elaborates on relevant SLAs of the ASB and raises up the different arithmetic for different SLA and also purpose of why we need to take care of the figure in the ASB, after these, at last, this paper states the implementation of the relevant features of ASB and the handling of the process.This article studies on how to check, monitor and manage the services provided in a more convenient way from the view of a SaaS service provider so as to ensure the quality of service, and also pictures the benefit of applying Portal.
