On this basis to UG NX4.0 for the secondary development platform, with MFC AppWizard application of development and design as a program guide, the UG / OPEN API as a programming interface, Microsoft SQL2000 as a basis database, using XML technology as a means of communication systems with PDM, developed a productfast design system based on three-dimensional, integrating with UG software.Finally, the author using a steering gear`s design processing as a example, describes the rapid deployment of steering gear design process. Practice has proved that the application of this system significantly reduces design time, improve efficiency, rapid product design. it has verificated the system framework and implementation strategy is feasible.
