With the rapid development of the communication technology, multimedia and embedded technology, video monitoring system is going to the network, intelligent direction.3G network coverage is becoming more perfect, especially mobile network bandwidth increases, the research on video monitor system for 3G network has become a hot topic in the field of embedded development. It has some advantages that are easy net-buildup, able-remote-monitoring and easy to be extended compared with traditional video monitoring system.The paper discusses the key technologies of video monitor system for 3G network, including video gathering, the dial-up Internet access process for CDMA2000 1x EV-DO, the implement of Video image transmission and reception, and then design a video image monitoring system based on the embedded platform of ARM9 processor S3C2440 and Linux operation system. The system is divided into server-side and client-side, and realizes the video monitor system of a wired B/S structure and a wireless C/S structure based on 3G EV-DO network.Firstly, the project's background and related technologies are introduced briefly. Secondly, the design of the system hardware platform and software implementation is proposed. Then the process of building embedded Linux development environment is described. In the paper, the key technologies of video monitor system for 3G network are demonstrated in detail, such as the USB digital camera driver realization and how to use V4L API functions to realize video gathering, the dial-up internet access process of ZTE Wireless MC8630 module for CDMA2000 1 x EV-DO by AT commands, the implement of video image transmission through TCP protocol. Lastly, the running results of the system are provided, the paper also proposes the way of perfecting and improving further.The research on key technologies of video monitor system for 3G network is meaningful and lays a good foundation for further research. The system runs long-time and stable in experimental test and it meets the design requirements. |
