The rapid development of optical communication technology make the requirements to automatic monitoring of optical networks higher and higher.Based on the basic principles of optical communication, this paper discusses optical automatically switched protective equipment and the design and development of the mechanism of remote monitoring system. Main tasks are use the two-way characteristic of optical communication system, based on WDM (Wavelength Division Multiplexing) technology, design a remote monitoring program for fiber amplifier;Based on the weighted average idea, put forward an anti-noise treatment method of optical power,compared with traditional methods, it can suppress the data transitions of optical power better and is true reflection of the optical power changes; Reference to the relevant provisions of Ministry of Information Industry to develop a remote monitoring statute of optical communications equipment, based on TCP / IP, develope a detailed communication protocol.Use of C/S architecture, the implementation of multi-grade monitoring, complete a remote monitoring system of optical communication equipment.On-site commissioning and field operation shows that the system has excellent scalability, high reliability and ease of maintenance and so on.
