| With the development of information technology, government departments have established information management systems based on a variety of database systems. These information systems provide convenience for the government's daily transaction. Because of the limitation of resource and technology, the network environment, operating system and database in every department system are different. Thus, it is difficult to share and exchange data for heterogeneous systems. Many information islands have been formed. However, with the continuous development of e-government, data which needs to be exchanged between various government departments is becoming heavier. Therefore, the research based on data exchange of e-government systems in heterogeneous systems is particularly important.At present, there is data exchange method based on EDI, or middleware technology, or Web Service technology. But, these data exchange methods are defective when the data is exchanged. For example, the method based on EDI has limitation in transmitting data, it can only use a specific network protocols and security protocols; The method based on middleware technology has great difficulty in implicating and a long time in data exchanging; The method based on Web Service technology has difficulty in controlling session and the time-out, and its request response single pattern for the whole service management system is complex. The paper puts forward an ideal technology for data exchange based on XML. It effectively combines with EDI, middleware technology, Web Service technology and XML technology, and contains the technological advantage of EDI and Web Service technology. It implements data sharing and exchanging when the network is connected, or broken, or disordered.The research source of this paper is data exchange platform project of Shanxi government extranet. This paper deeply analyzes the current situation of information systems at all levels of government, and considers the future of information technology planning. The platform included modules data acquisition, data conversion, data integration and data transmission. At first, this paper proposed XML-based electronic data interchange platform for the overall government structure and function modules. Second, the data presented in the specific XML exchange operations. Then, the paper study the use of XML technology to achieve the specific method of data conversion. Finally, the paper introduced the process of heterogeneous data exchange.On the basis of large number of successful experiments, it proved that use the XML can integrate the data from different data sources very easy. Application software can integrate data from back-end database server in the middle level, and then, send data to the client or other servers in XML format. The local software can parse the received data, and use the data for further processing. This can solve the increasingly serious problem of heterogeneous data exchange in Shanxi government extranet. |
