Synthetic Impulse and Aperture Radar (SIAR) is a new type of metrewave radar, which has a good performance on anti-stealth. It is possible to locate a limited number of array elements in a circle whose radius is large enough to ensure the required angular resolution. And it can simultaneously achieve the target detection and tracking. In the paper first introduce the basic principles of SIAR radar, and then according to the processing procedure, introduce the tracking processing methods including digital beamforming (DBF), pulse synthesis, Doppler filtering, coherent accumulation and envelope motion compensation. Secondly study the principles of the methods, and then based on the simulation results, analyze the performance of the algorithms. At last, combined with the implementation of the target tracking process, introduce the high-performance digital signal processor (ADSP TS201S) and the structure of the general-purpose signal processing board based on TS201 chip. And also elaborate on the DSP software implementation as well as the data collection method.
