As a new type of radar using metric wavelength and sparse array, Synthetic Impulse and Aperture Radar(SIAR) has the advantages of anti-stealth and anti-radiation missile which metrewave radar has. Moreover, SIAR improves the disadvantages such as low angle resolution and easily interferenced. Based on certain project, the thesis studies the implementation of the DOA estimation problem for SIAR.Firstly, two typical array models are introduced, and then according to the existing research results, illuminates the classical angle measurement methods. Especially focus on the SIAR application, digital beam scan algorithm and new temporal-spatial maximum likelihood algorithm for azimuth and elevation measurement are introduced. Combined with the software platform, the high speed DSP is presented, and the simulation figures together with the implementation results are also included. Finally, completes the design and the implementation of the interface circuit between the DSP and FPGA which are used for the purpose of the tracking task.
