Design Of The Personnel Management System For Liaoyang Tobacco Company

With the development of the society, science and technology, social life has entered the information age. The demand for information of the modern people is increasing, so is the demand for information processing capability of business executives in an enterprise. The problem that the personnel management is facing today is the trivial and complex work of management. A file box-style personnel management in the past is a waste of resources and manual labor. It's also hard for people to query. It's not convenient, time-saving or efficient.Personnel management deals with the basic information of the employees of a company, the employees'resumes and their salary information. Enterprises have different approaches and ways of personnel management. Personal management is facing more and more difficulties and challenges with the changes of people's employment ideas initiated by their fast-paced lifestyle, the changes of their career, the changes of their further education for higher academic degrees and the changes of their salary. To apply a certain personnel management software which suits a certain enterprise will not only improve work efficiency, information classification processing and query capabilities, but also update information of employees, help people find management loopholes, eliminate repetitive work, and decrease unnecessary expenditure of manual labor. This paper introduces an easy-operated, convenient and practical software management of the current modern management of enterprises. It is directed by the complex management processing system and the current situation of Liaoyang Tobacco Company and its demand. This software is developed and designed basing on object-oriented programming language, Power Builder 9.0 of the Sybase Corporation. It has been proved to have good reliability, trafficability and compatibility. The software also adopts SQL Server 2000 of Microsoft Corporation as background database. It's developed to make the management work easy-operated and user-machine interface friendly. It's easy to learn and use to achieve fast, accurate and automatic data processing.This paper introduces the overall and specific objectives basing on the typical software development theory, acquisition of user needs and the research on feasibility. This paper details the design progressively and programs in a scientific and appropriate way basing on the functional design, interface design, database design and form design. Therefore it achieves the desired design and makes it fully applicable to the personnel management of Liaoyang Tobacco Company.This paper elaborates the design process and method of the software, including five chapters of introduction, needs analysis, system design, detailed design and test and maintenance.Chapter I, introduction, introduces the investigated subject of the software development, the organization structure and the basic information of Liaoyang Tobacco Company and the feasibility of the software development.Chapter II, needs analysis, sets forth the overall and specific objectives of the software, confirms the functions to be implemented, analyzes the data transformation process in the system through DFD and defines the data dictionary.Chapter III, system design, designs the functional module of the system, hierarchy chart of the system, IPO, E-R and DL of the system.Chapter IV, detailed design, introduces the functions of the input information module, query module and maintenance of the system. This part also introduces how to achieve the design goals of the system and gives the design of global variable and local variable.Chapter V, test and maintenance, introduces briefly the testing methods, testing contents and the system maintenance. A handy user's manual is also provided.
