Research And Implementation Of OLAP-based Production Decision Support System

Decision Support System (DSS) is a computer application system that helps the decision-makers to make a semi-structured or unstructured decision, through the knowledge and data model, with the human-computer interaction. On-Line Analytical Processing (OLAP) is divided into one or more cubes, is a technology used to organize large business databases and support business intelligence. With the development of information technology and a wide range of applications, especially in the application of information technology in the enterprise production management, it makes a significant effect in production management. Real-time information in the production process is collected through automatic control system, and stored through mass storage to provide various, accurate, real-time information for production management and command, so that the information is to become another asset of the enterprise---information assets. How to make this part of the assets to play a greater role in the reference of enterprise production and management has important practical significance.This paper analyses the enterprise actual situation and combined with the characteristics of the petrochemical industry, the enterprise data warehouse will be established via extracting the required data from other business systems to make the data conversion and data cleaning. After that, a suitable business model will be created via analysis of corporate production, operation and management of business. According to the business model, the information model, data model and analysis of topics and analytical dimensions will be determined and a online business query model will be built up of which the query can be dynamically modified to help users make quick query of business details.This paper describes a theoretical method to achieve production decision support system which is based on OLAP application technology and via decision support system to provide timely and accurate information and scientific guidance for business decision makers.
