The current method of manual meter-reading bring the user and the meter-reading worker a lot of trouble, using the wireless meter-reading can not only save manpower and material resources, but also improve work efficiency. GSM/GPRS wireless meter-reading system can not be widely accepted by people because of high cost. In this paper, the design idea and the overall solution of the wireless meter-reading system based on ZigBee technology and GPRS technology combining were put forward, which can well solve the problem of data transmission for uplink and downlink communication channel. CC2430 chip was used as a core part of the data collector hardware system, the amplifier circuit and the low-noise amplifier circuit were designed to expand communication distance, the paper focus on the design of the downlink communication channel based on ZigBee technology. The wireless meter-reading system's networking program was designed, the network flow of the building concentrator and the data collector was presented, and both of them were based on the analysis of ZigBee protocol stack .the paper program in C language on the IAR Embedded software development platform. ZigBee nodes can meet the demands of wireless meter-reading system downlink communication channel by hardware/software test, the result of test shows that the system have a certain receiver sensitivity and a more satisfactory communication distance. |
