Analysis And Design On CSCW Virtual Team Cooperation Platform

CSCW(Computer Supported Cooperative Work) is the inevitable outcome of the development of informationization. It not only enhances people's work efficiency and promote the development of social productive forces, but also profoundly affect the human mode of production, working and life-style. CSCW refers to computer-supported environment, a team working together to complete a common task,the members must perform common tasks. CSCW systems to provide them with a shared working environment and a friendly interface to interact.As a knowledge-based economy produces a "project-centric" model of human resource organizations, virtual team has some distinctive features。Virtual team is a group, though the members are scattered in different time and space and organization boundary, but they work together to finish the task. Geographical and time differences make communication become one of the virtual team successful key aspects. Virtual teams use of information technology to overcome time and geographical barriers, relying on information and communication technologies for communication and information sharing, and use their own characteristics and advantages, to achieve superior to the traditional team's competitiveness. Virtual team rely heavily on information technology and communication technology support. As the team members rarely meet face to face, mainly by e-mail, video conferencing and Internet-based collaboration technologies (netmeeting) to carry out the work,so effective communication between members will directly affect the trust between members, and overall efficiency.Effective communication is believed to be the key success factors of virtual team. Virtual team communication mainly rely on computer supported cooperative work (CSCW). This paper analyzes the virtual team collaboration and communication problem and designed CSCW-based Virtual Team Cooperation Platform and solved the communication problems in virtual team.
