Fruit garden industry is an important component of modern agriculture , which is an important way to enrich the project. In the orchard, fruit trees changing environmental parameters directly influence the growth of fruit trees and fruit quality. Monitoring level of environmental parameters is one of the important technical requirements, which determines the level of agricultural production facilities. We investigate the local orchards and growers, results show that the most of our orchard management level is low. Automation and intelligent monitoring of environmental parameters orchards can provide accurate data for the scientific study of fruit trees and orchard management. Designed low-cost intelligent monitoring system to meet China's national conditions is imperative.This paper analyzes the development of domestic and international monitoring system status and traditional monitoring systems. According to the actual needs of farmers, we design the overall structure of the program for the orchard environment monitoring system. This program is designed for the orchard distributed environmental monitoring system, which includes PC, collection controller, wireless collection terminal node. System is designed to monitor the orchard soil moisture, soil temperature, air temperature, humidity and other parameters.The paper designed wireless node and the controller, using sensor technology, communications technology, automatic detection and micro-computer technology. Collection terminal node is composed by MSP430F1222 microcontroller and peripheral sensor circuit and wireless RF transceiver chip nRF905, its function is to complete the collection and long-distance transmission of environmental parameters. For power supply problems, collection terminal nodes is designed to low-power node. Microcontroller and wireless transceiver modules work in low-power mode in Idle period , all sensors are set to low power mode, to achieve long-term reliable orchard environmental parameters. Acquisition controller store parameters and data using ferroelectric non-volatile RAM. Data storage format is designed to achieve full use of storage space and operational flexibility. LCD 12232F and 2x4 matrix keypad is designed for data access and parameter setting and other operations. debugging interface of Collection node and the controller is designed for upgrading program.Monitoring system adopt wireless communication and wired communication. The Serial to USB circuit is designed to communicate between Collection controller and PC, to raise the upload speed of data. Collection terminal node adopt wireless communication technology, and introduces the concept of wireless sensor network to adapt to the orchard broad area and requirements of sensor configuration flexibility. The subject design the sending and receiving data frame format and data collection network protocol.System Software is primarily composed of the main program, the keyboard scanning routines, display routines, data collection routines, wireless transceivers and interrupt handling routines and other routines. Main program is the system control procedures, and other routines to achieve the module function.Field tests showed that the system is running normal, high reliability, scalability, and it can collect the orchard environment parameter by automatic and manual collection, to achieve the desired purpose.
