Consumption of human existence and development of the basic conditions, while the consumer culture is history, changes in different periods of time will form a different cultural patterns of consumption. Modern society is a society dominated by mass media, mass communication and advertising, audio-visual system as a carrier of consumer culture and symbols filled with people's living space, manipulation of people's basic needs such as content and consumption patterns, affecting people's consumption activities, and ultimately lead the consumer culture development. The implementation of consumer culture and the media, but also caters to the general public consumer psychology as a way to attract the largest number of audience, the audience will be sold to advertisers in exchange for a higher level of advertising. Media and consumer culture in the collusion between the two symbiotic mutual development, and the mass media through a variety of reports and integration of advertising and consumer behavior, for the prevalence of consumer culture fueled.The media and consumer culture based on this relationship and consumer culture in the modern society, the prevalence study of contemporary media environment in China under the concept of consumer culture becomes significant.
