With economic development and people's rising living standards, modern society in which patterns of consumption and other environment have taken great changes. Western consumerism, which originated in the 20th century, as an independent cultural phenomenon in cultural globalization, had impact our national news media and people's consumption concept as an alarming rate. Consumerism strongly advocated the pursuit and luxury consumption, unrestrained pursuit of material comforts, and the consumerism had caused s great threat to the consumption of Chinese traditional ethical values under the influence of consumer wave, tendency of Entertainment and Commercialization filled of China mass media and have an intensified tendency. If the tendency didn't have regulated and health guide, it will not only contrary the social responsibility of the mass media, but also not conductive to China journalism's health and orderly development.The thesis selected Hunan TV as research object, through research Hunan TV ads, drama program, Entertainment program and other dissemination content, to investigate under the influenced of consumerism, characteristics of Hunan TV broadcast, and the programs promote what kind of consumption for the audience. The thesis use informational analysis, case study methods and text Analysis and other Research Methods to discuss which Consumer Culture Hunan TV show, and why they advocate such Consumer Culture. By doing this, we hope provide advice and recommendations to our TV media's development in which to meet the needs of the consumer, times and the conditions of our country's cultural industry development.
