Design And Implementation Of College Entrance Examination Application Decision Support System

College Entrance Examination Application Decision Support System which is designed and implemented in this dissertation is used to provide assistant decision about College Entrance Examination and making applications for admissions staffs of Beijing Jiaotong University and students who will apply for the admission of Beijing Jiaotong University. Firstly, the needs of two types of user which are separately for the admissions staffs and the candidates are analyzed, after considering the rules of College Entrance Examination application and the historical data of College Admissions in several years, the new decision support system has been designed combining the Data Warehouse, Data Mining and On-Line Analytical Processing technology. In the process of the implementation of the system, the process of building Data Warehouse in the system, the preparation of the data source, the structural design and creation of the Data Warehouse, the extraction, transformation and loading of the data are discussed in the focus discussion. Based on the above, what has been studied is that how to implement decision support function using Data Mining, On-Line Analytical Processing and statistical reporting technologies. In the implementation process of On-Line Analytical Processing and Data Mining, some exploration have been done focus on the application of various decision support methods, and different combinations of decision-making information in different levels provided by different decision-making methods have been used to support the decision-making of College Entrance Examination. Microsoft SQL Server 2005+Web Service solution is used in the system, which is embodied in the use of SQL Server 2005 to provide On-Line Analytical Processing and reporting services to show users the intrinsic link between the data, and some Data Mining algorithms such as the naive Bayes, association rules and multiple linear regression have been used to classify, associate and predict a large number of historical data in Java environment. Finally, the integration of different decision-making methods has been achieved on.NET platform to provide users with decision support information. To ensure the availability of decision-making information, all data used in decision-making methods and results have been repeatedly tested and adjusted. An actual result of the study is the Web system integrated with Beijing Jiaotong University Admissions Website, which will be provided for the general candidates and school admissions staffs.
